LEE FRIEDLANDER - AMERICA BY CAR
For the first time in Denmark it will be possible to experience the legendary master photographer Lee Friedlander (b. 1934), when the National Museum of Photography shows the exhibition America by Car. In 192 black-and-white photographs, all taken from the interiors of rental cars, he draws a remarkable portrait of modern USA. On various road trips over the past decade Friedlander has travelled through most parts of USA in rental cars. Without ever leaving the car he has documented eccentricities and iconic sides of modern USA seen through car windows and side and rear mirrors. Read more»

ERIK DIETMAN
Erik Dietman born in Jönköping in 1937, spent his school days and youth in Värnamo, before he left Sweden in 1959 to settle in France. There, he lived at times in the south of the country and at times in Paris before he settled in an old mill on the edge of Fontainebleau, south of Paris, where he lived until his death

ALEXANDER GUTKE
Alexander Gutke (born 1971) works within the conceptual and minimalist tradition. Cameras, film- and slide projectors are some of the main components in his art practice. Gutke uses them to explore space, light, shade, darkness and the infinity of the void. He investigates these technical apparatuses as objects and mechanical devices, and uses them as tools and objects in his works and narrative – creating a visual illusionism and a poetic and mystical materialism. SCISSORS FOR A BRUSH
For the first time, Danish-Norwegian artist Karen Bit Vejle's lacelike images of air and paper are shown in Sweden. The light, lacelike works of art are not only beautiful, they also each tell a story. There is a great deal of humour in the imagery, but one also finds deep seriousness. Read more»
